Job Description and Expectations
Reporting Structure: The Career Training (CT) Program Supervisor reports to the Coordinator
of the WTAE Program. The CT Program Supervisor participates in the Supervisor Leadership
Team meetings convened by the Coordinator.
Performance Agreement: The CT Program Supervisor will perform all aspects of the
communicated job description. This employee will effectively meet performance expectations of
the MSD of Wayne Township. Formal performance evaluation will be conducted annually
Performance Responsibilities:
DOMAIN I: TRAIN, DEVELOP AND MANAGE TEACHERS AND REGISTRATION STAFF
Support all CT teachers, CT/ES coaches, CT secretary, CT registration staff, Goodwill employee,
and to ensure high quality instruction for our students;
Oversee the CT registration to ensure strong organization, positive culture, and reporting;
Ensure all data points are captured including intake, adult learning plans, achievements, testing, skills checklist, and quarterly updates, student success stories quarterly,
Provides new teacher orientations and ongoing monitoring that includes an overview of shared
drives, curriculum, testing, technology assistants, distance learning, Inters, and The Vault -
attendance and gradebook; Equips Coaches with training on WIN Courseware, OSHA, Shared Drives, Supportive Service
Vouchers, bus cards, life coaching pages, etc.
Lead professional development in July and January as well as monthly coaching sessions;
Providing three observations a semester with 2 unplanned and 1 planned to provide
feedback to the instructor on instructional techniques and/or classroom management;
Ensure seamless transitions between CT classrooms, Employer Services, and post secondary
opportunities.
Provides direction to instructors and coaches about student discipline, attendance, supplies, ALP, and other supportive service needs
Ensures that the coaching team is working on monitoring daily attendance and
documenting violations
Ensures ADA accommodation requests are supported with qualifying evidence; evidence
is shared with Vincennes University, Ivy Tech and partners to ensure accommodations
are carried out by instructors and staff.
DOMAIN II: ORIENTATION, SCHOLARSHIP, DATA AND CLASSROOM SUPPORT
Plans and manages CT orientation/registration including preparing the agenda,
presentation, program expectations, faculty training, and communication to program
coordinator for partnership communication
Manages Scholarship Selection process which includes proctor schedule, interview
schedules, and monitoring of portal submissions for the mandatory documents;
Communicates weekly program expectations and updates for the CT team and equips
staff with an orientation presentation that overviews program goals, syllabus, procedures,
safety, rules, attendance, professional rubric, career services, job placement forms, and
externships portal when appropriate;
Utilize The Connectable Student Management System and InTERS data to track Mid Year Incentives,
and Annual Goals;
Track CT Testing and Gradebook to look for trends on curriculum gaps and remediation lessons
and distance learning for students;
Solves INters data issues with registration, teachers, coaches, and students;
Lead the CT Team to hit the state performance; 95% completion, 90% WIN certification, 90%
Industry Certification, 90% 4B, 60% distance learning, 75% employment, and 15% advance into post secondary
Tracks all outcomes for CT students: TABE testing, completions, certification, WIN, and
employment.
Ensures all formwork is administered including intake/orientation, attendance,
externships, CT Teacher Report,
Co-create with CT instructors a collective gradebook, reviews, and tests which would
include class completion, weekly grades, quizzes, industry certification, WIN
certification, math TABE gain (if applicable), and employment
Files career training paperwork for DWD paperwork for IET, WEI, INTraining.
Coordinates with Connectable to prepare social media and marketing messages to
promote and fill CT classes and to update the adulted.info website.
Ensures adequate funding with meetings with Coordinator for NLJ, TIF, WEI/IET prior
to issuing scholarship vouchers
Selects qualified students to seat the classes and offer scholarship award letters;
Submits all existing and new CT curriculum for IET and WEI review no later than 2
months before class.
Monitors the Testing & Interview Spreadsheet to conduct scholarship interviews with
students.
Communicates CT needs for staffing or resources to Coordinator;
Holds weekly office CT team meetings to plan and coordinate delivery of goals;.
Mets with industry providers and Employer Services Supervisor to plan classes for each
semester;
DOMAIN III- COMMUNITY RESOURCES
Reports weekly the progress, successes, challenges, and needed support for successful
progression to performance targets and successful programming for our students;
Prepares 2 semesters of CT fact sheet for all programs
Attends WTAE department meetings, Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment, and Next Level
Program Standards Committee meetings driving local industry needs into better aligned
curriculum.
Serves as Area 31 lead one night a week, supports WIN classes, and teams with CT Secretary and
CT Employment Supervisor to provide coverage as needed;
Sets up a Google Calendar for all CT registrations and other special events with CT Teachers,,
WTAE Receptionist, WTAE Secretary, CT Secretary, CT Coach, and Coordinator included
Schedules presentations in November and April to engage advancement into career training
Assist in the design and development of school flyers and marketing materials
DOMAIN IV: STUDENT SUPPORT
Select 4 Student Ambassadors for Student Council;
Coordinate with Lead Coach to make CT Presentations with Employer Services Supervisor;
DOMAIN V: WAYNE COMMUNITY/CLASSROOM CULTURE

Ensure a positive culture and environment
Exude professionalism and enthusiasm
Collaborate and proactively communicate with colleagues for a successful team
Attend all Professional Development and Coaching meetings.
Completes additional duties as assigned or approved by the Coordinator.
