Chapel Hill 7th and 8th Grade Center is seeking qualified, motivated, and student-centered individuals to serve in coaching positions for middle school athletic programs. Coaches are responsible for supporting the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and school pride.

Essential Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise practices, competitions, and team activities.
• Teach fundamental skills, rules, and strategies appropriate for middle school student-athletes.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and educational athletic environment.
• Promote good sportsmanship, character, teamwork, and respect among athletes.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at practices and events.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school staff, officials, and administration.
• Maintain appropriate supervision of students during practices, games, travel, and other team activities.
• Support and enforce school, district, conference, and state athletic policies and expectations.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and encourage academic success.
• Assist with equipment management, inventory, and care of school facilities.
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
