Job Description and Expectations
Reporting Structure:
The Receptionist reports to the CT Supervisors of the Wayne Township Adult Education Program.
Performance Agreement:
The Wayne Township Adult Education (WTAE) Receptionist will perform all aspects of the communicated job description. This employee will effectively meet the contractual and performance expectations of the MSD of Wayne Township. Formal performance evaluation will be conducted annually.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Serves as the receptionist providing excellent customer service for emails, faxes, calls and walk-ins from Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:30 to 9:30 PM at Area 31.
- Provides testing support at Ben Davis University from 8:45 AM - 12:15 PM Monday through Thursday;
- Provides copy assistance to teachers and staff;
- Monitors security cameras and coordinates attendance;
- Communicates school rules and regulations; including no exterior breaks, social distancing, and security procedures;
- Provides assistance to testing lab, coaches, and teachers;
- Retains a daily visitor log and updates A31 manual to keep current policies and procedures;
- Reviews and screens incoming correspondence and communications routed to supervisors;
- Stays informed of all Supervisors’ programming and communication processes for classes;
- Serves as an administrative aide by receiving and responding to inquiries from either office visitors or by electronic means;
- Assists with data for record management, storage, and retrieval system, and utilizes the output reports in the office operational functions;
- 1 Provides a leading role with graduation ensuring all signage is posted and invitations are mailed a month in advance;
- Assists with communication on job fairs, clinics, physician consultations, and other special events.
- Performs other such tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as assigned by Coordinator/Supervisor.
Contract:
BDU 14 hours per week for 45 weeks
A31 15 hours per week for 40 weeks
